Dokter-Djawa School/STOVIA (Medicine) is established under Dutch rule

1849 - 1902

Official Founding

Universitas Indonesia is officially established, merging existing institutions post-independence

Consolidation

Faculties in other cities become independent universities while UI focuses development in Jakarta

Depok Campus Era

New integrated main campus opens in Depok to accommodate growth
