Universitas Indonesia (UI) sets the record of being the first Indonesian university to break the Top 200 by achieving a rank of 189 in QS World University Rankings 2026, moving up a total of 17 spots from QS World University Rankings 2025. This achievement is another step closer to UI’s goal of breaking into the worldwide Top 100, as mandated by the Indonesian Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology.

Universitas Indonesia has achieved this feat by slowly but surely improving our performance in all QS indicators. Our jump in rank is most greatly supported by UI’s Employer Reputation and Employment Outcomes, highlighting the alignment of our curricula with employer needs as proven by our alumni’s high rate of employment and reputation amongst employers both national and internationally.
